About Us

I Am KIM - What Does It Mean?

The color purple is often associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Additionally the color is related to domestic violence. According to Rose. M. Garrity, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) board president and a long-time movement member, the women's suffrage movement used the colors purple, white and gold in the early 1900s. Those were the colors of the National Women's Party. The use of the color purple started in England and symbolized purity, hope, and loyalty.

The butterfly in I Am KIM represents transformation. In the beginning, the caterpillar hatches from an egg, and through metamorphosis, it becomes beautiful winged art.

If you look at this photo, the long-sleeved top I am wearing represents transformation. Note the scales are only on one side of the top. The butterfly in the logo is missing pieces, but it is still beautiful.

I Am Kim is all about (You) taking the pieces from what could have been broken and making them something beautiful. It's All about Me Keeping It Moving.
